The quite small city


In the heart of Tepic stands the cathedral, unmistakable for its 40 meter (120 foot) high towers standing on a solid gothic portico, one popular atraction is Amado Nervo`s house this house is a historical monument, a typical neo-classical, 19th century house. Inside, there are important documents, photographs and furniture belonging to the illustrious poet Amado Nervo , You can see many original manuscripts of poems in the three exhibition rooms and courtyard. Tepic has many beautiful natural parks one is the Alameda park just a few steps from downtown on Allende Ave. at Juan Escutia park, here, the poet Amado Nervo took his inspiration when he wrote his poems under the inviting freshness of the shade of enormous poplar and cedar trees. You too will enjoy the peace and quiet here as well as the other installations like the jogging path, the swings and slides, the small aviary , the library and others. If you feel like playing sports, there are installations for soccer, skating, jai-alai, jogging. Or if you prefer a peaceful stroll, take a walk down the cobblestone paths among flowers and trees and absorb the peace and quiet of this park, the Alameda. Tepic as a city has many night clubs where you can go dancing, you`ll find any kind of services you need, or places to have fun, for sightseen or walking, big malls, movies theathers etc.
